Drag as a performance art is one of self expression that blurs traditional gender lines where performers develop unique personas to portray in front of audiences. Becoming a Drag performer is a constant journey of improving and refining skills to be the best version of themselves both in their appearance and performance.
This project features five drag performers expressing themselves and representing their own journey in Drag. Each set of images is meant to be a representation of each performer's drag persona as they both literally and metaphorically spread their wings.
This project was exhibited in Revelstoke during the 2022 Luna Arts Festival.
